We want to extend our sincere appreciation to The Deli House for stepping in and helping us out in a pinch over the past two weekends. Their team provided a fantastic setup for our members and guests, and their effort, professionalism, and great food did not go unnoticed.

We’re grateful for their support and encourage everyone to stop by their wonderful spot on the corner across from Tops. You will not be disappointed.

Good news: our restaurant, 1897 Tavern on the Hill , will be back open for their normal hours.

Thank you again, The Deli House, for being such a great community partner.

Dear Members and Guests,

Unfortunately, due to a prior engagement, the 1897 Tavern on the Hill will be closed for the next two weekends.

Luckily, one of our local establishments has graciously agreed to help out during this time. The Deli House will be serving lunch from 11am–3pm on Saturday and Sunday for the next two weekends at the course. They will be setting up in the parking lot and offering grilled specials, subs, and cold drinks.

Please support this local business that is stepping in to help us while our restaurant is closed.

The First Round of Matches at the 89th Invitational is officially in the books. Despite a two‑hour delay caused by a fast‑moving thunderstorm, we were able to get back out there and complete as many holes as daylight allowed. Thank you all for your patience and flexibility as we navigated the weather.

A reminder to our B through E Flights: you will be playing in foursomes tomorrow.

A sincere thank‑you to everyone for your understanding with the storm, and a special acknowledgment to Greg Funck, Brandon Butts, Ryan Curran, Joe Lambert, and Hudson Moyse for their tremendous help getting the course back in shape after the weather passed.

Day 2 of the 89th Invitational tees off with a family showdown that’s guaranteed to bring some extra spark to the fairways. Matt Moyse and his brother‑in‑law Brandon Butts are stepping up for a head‑to‑head battle, and it’s shaping up to be one of the day’s most entertaining matchups.

What an incredible first day out on the course. There was great competition, great energy, and a lot of impressive golf. A huge congratulations to our Medalist, Ryan Curran, who fired a fantastic 67 to lead the field. Outstanding playing, Ryan.

The Match Play brackets for tomorrow are now available and attached below. They’re hand‑printed — apologies for that — but we wanted to get them out to everyone as quickly as possible.

A few notes for tomorrow’s round:

All players will compete in twosomes, except for the Senior Flight.

We’re thrilled to kick off our 89th Invitational at Stamford Golf Club this weekend! The course is in fantastic shape, and we’re excited to welcome 72 of our closest friends for another year of camaraderie, competition, and great memories at the Club.

Qualifying begins tomorrow with an 11am shotgun start, and matches tee off Saturday morning.

🍳 The restaurant will be serving breakfast sandwiches and Bloody Mary specials starting at 9am Friday and Saturday... the perfect start to a great day on the course.
🚫 Please, no outside alcohol.

Looking ahead, our Men’s and Women’s Club Championships are next weekend — sign up in the Pro Shop to secure your spot.
And registration is now open for The Barber, our annual 2‑man scramble honoring our dear friend Jon Barber, who made unforgettable memories in this event (including two Holes‑in‑One back in 2023).

A beautiful course, great friends, and a full calendar of golf ahead; let’s make it a weekend to remember! ⛳️
