Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Diana Janikow is a concept artist and illustrator and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design. When speaking about her process and inspiration she says, “This is a live sketch I did here at FRESH & CHILL and this is an atmosphere that is fantastic... It is full of energy.” About her artistic expression through sketch, she says, “The people are amazing and I just needed to capture that so I can have that memory forever.”

A Rico hotdog, most commonly referred to in the Dominican Republic as a Hot Dog Completo (or just a hot dog callejero), is an over-the-top, heavily layered street food staple.

The name “Rico” comes from Salchichas Rico (IYKYK), the most famous and iconic brand of hot dog sausages in the country. Because their logo and carts are everywhere, people naturally associate the ultimate Dominican-style hot dog with the brand name.

What makes it completely different from a standard American hot dog is the mountain of textured toppings: cabbage, potato chips, and the holy trinity of sauces (mayo, ketchup, and mustard)

The Rico hotdog is a savory, crunchy, and saucy experience.

Un Rico hotdog, más conocido en la República Dominicana como Hot Dog Completo (o simplemente hot dog callejero), es un clásico de la comida urbana, exagerado y repleto de capas de sabor.

El nombre “Rico” viene de Salchichas Rico (si sabes, sabes), la marca de salchichas más famosa e icónica del país. Como su logo y sus carritos están en todas partes, la gente asocia de forma natural el auténtico hot dog al estilo dominicano con el nombre de la marca.

Lo que lo hace completamente diferente de un hot dog americano común es la montaña de ingredientes llenos de textura: repollo, papitas fritas y la santísima trinidad de las salsas (mayonesa, ketchup y mostaza).

El Rico hotdog es una experiencia totalmente sabrosa, crujiente y jugosa.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 7th, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM! We are bringing a taste of El Salvador straight to you with a very special guest cook taking over the griddle to make authentic, handmade pupusas.

Choose your favorites (or try all three!): Chicharrón , queso, and frijol con queso.

Come for the food, stay for the vibes! Whether you want to dine in and enjoy the music and dancing, or grab some to go (takeout available), you won’t want to miss this.

If a sandwich could throw a block party, it would be the Cuban.

The Cuban sandwich, affectionately known as the mixto, is essentially late-19th-century Florida history pressed flat and served with a side of attitude.

Born in the bustling neighborhoods of Tampa and Miami, this legendary street food is the ultimate collaborative group project: ham, shredded pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard in a loaf of bread. It is smashed with a heavy, scorching-hot iron press (the plancha) until the cheese screams for mercy and the crust gets shatteringly crisp.

It’s salty, sweet, tangy, and gooey… proof that when different ingredients collide, lunch wins.

El sándwich cubano, afectuosamente conocido como mixto, es, en esencia, la historia de la Florida de finales del siglo XIX prensada por completo y servida con un toque de actitud.

Nacido en los bulliciosos barrios de Tampa y Miami, esta legendaria comida callejera es el proyecto grupal definitivo: jamón, cerdo desmenuzado, queso suizo, pepinillos y mostaza dentro de una barra de pan. Summer is officially on the horizon, and let’s just say… things are about to get absolutely LIT around here. 🔥☀️

We’ve always wanted our space to be a hub for good food, great music, and even better community vibes. That’s why we are officially adding dominoes to the mix very soon!

It gets better, though. We aren’t just bringing in tables; we are already cooking up plans for our very first Domino Tournament! 🏆

We will be dropping the official tournament details, dates, and sign-up links soon, so make sure your notifications are turned ON. Space will be limited, and you won’t want to miss out on the competitive energy.

At the end of the day, neither of us could survive without the other. If he ran the place completely his way, it would be the most efficient, perfectly budgeted, organized restaurant in St. Louis... that nobody knew about because there was no Instagram hype. If she ran it entirely her way, FRESH & CHILL would be the biggest, most legendary party in Missouri... but the kitchen would run out of plantains by 8:00 PM.

He keeps the lights on; she makes sure people want to walk through the door!

Al fin y al cabo, ninguno de los dos podría sobrevivir sin el otro. Si él manejara el lugar completamente a su manera, sería el restaurante más eficiente, perfectamente presupuestado y organizado de St. Louis... pero nadie se enteraría porque no tendría nada de contenido en Instagram.

Si ella lo manejara completamente a su manera, FRESH & CHILL sería la fiesta más grande y legendaria de todo Missouri... pero a la cocina se le acabarían los plátanos a las 8:00 de la noche.
