Some dreams begin with a recipe. Others begin with the courage to start over.

When F***y moved from Peru to the United States, she faced the challenge of rebuilding her life from scratch. Unable to continue her profession, she turned to something that had always brought her joy—baking. What started as homemade desserts for family celebrations soon grew into Capuli Cakery, a business inspired by perseverance, family, and the rich flavors of Peru.

Today, every cake, pastry, and savory treat is made with care, quality ingredients, and a touch of Peruvian tradition. More than delicious dessert, Capulí Cakes offers a taste of home and a story of resilience in every bite.

At Urban Eats, we're more than a place to grab a meal. We're a working food incubator where entrepreneurs build their businesses one step at a time.

As our vendors grow, you may notice that some are serving at pop-ups, catering events, farmers markets, or in their own locations, while others return on rotating public service days to connect with our community. That's by design. We believe sustainable growth comes from giving food entrepreneurs the flexibility to test ideas, build loyal customers, and expand at the right pace.

Our alumni are proof that local dreams can become lasting businesses, and we're proud to be part of their journey.

That dream became O'YESS DONER KEBAB, where every meal celebrates the rich traditions of Turkish street food and the joy of bringing people together.

Using fresh ingredients, quality meats, and recipes inspired by his heritage, Kan serves more than just great food—he creates an experience rooted in hospitality, culture, and connection.

What an unforgettable day it was! ❤️ Our streets came alive with incredible local food, music, art, and the energy of a community coming together.

From honoring the legacy of Tacos La Jefa founder Heriberta Amezcua, to neighbors volunteering during the community cleanup, to celebrating the amazing entrepreneurs who filled Meramec Street with delicious food and handmade creations—it was a day that truly reflected the heart of Dutchtown.

Moments like these remind us that Urban Eats has always been about more than great food. It's about supporting local businesses, celebrating culture, and creating spaces where community thrives.

Inspired by her great-grandmother Esther, Jillian Sandler turned a lifelong passion for baking into Esther's Bakeshop. After training at the French Pastry School in Chicago and honing her craft in renowned kitchens across the country, she followed her dream of creating a bakery that's entirely her own.

Today, every cookie, muffin, and cake is made with premium ingredients, expert technique, and the kind of warmth that makes every bite feel like home.
