I think it’s time we officially introduce the Chef behind Dinner at Harvey’s. Meet Chef Rico Thompson. Chef Rico was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois and began his cooking career at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown St.Louis. Feeling a desire to learn more and see different types of cuisine, Chef moved to New Orleans Louisiana in 2013. After two years in the Big Easy, Chef moved to the Nation’s capital, Washington DC. He’s held various chef positions at the JW Marriott and also the prestigious Watergate Hotel during his time in the Nation’s capital. After five years in DC, Chef felt a desire to move closer to home. He then relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he took his first Executive Chef position. He welcomed his first child in August of 2020. Then finally in July 2024, everything finally came full circle when he moved back home to St. Louis Missouri.
Chef currently resides in the St. Louis area with his wife, Davida and their three kids. He is the Executive Chef of a high end restaurant in the greater St. Louis area.
