Small Business Ownership, especially in this economy, isn’t for the faint of heart. Even on a Sunday afternoon we are never really “off”. Today on Carroll Street, directly outside our business, someone crashed into the electric pole. (We do not know the specifics or if anyone was injured but we pray everyone is ok). Power went out about 1:00 and remains off now still eight hours later. Unfortunately, this outage affects the same business owners within the market that had issues from the electrical fire back on Feb. 14th. We pull together and help each other however we can, but so much of this is out of our control. To be honest, our business has never fully recovered from the electrical issues from the fire. We still do not have everything fully restored. Now today, we scrambled again to keep our six different refrigerator/freezers to temperature in an attempt to save all our product. We really strive to keep our heads up, push forward, and stay positive. Even currently as we sit in the “unknown”. How much longer until it’s restored? How much product we will lose? We share this to stay transparent with you because sometimes life gets lifey. We are fortunate that Ameren has been working for hours today and we are confident that it will be restored without any interruptions to our business hours. So we ask for your patience and understanding in the coming days. We will be doing our best to maintain the full menu and continue to provide the best service. Thank you friends!
