A little lunch-pail history 🍌

As the story goes, a traveling bakery salesman visited Kentucky coal country in 1917 and asked the miners what kind of snack they wanted. Their request was simple: something filling, portable and easy to carry underground.

The resulting treat paired round graham cookies with a soft marshmallow center. Decades later, its banana version is said to have become a favorite of Sam Walton.

That story felt especially fitting for our parlor on the Walmart Home Office campus. Banana Moo* Pie is Clementine’s scoopable tribute to the nostalgic snack and the hardworking roots behind it, featuring sweet banana ice cream with mini marshmallows and vanilla cookie crumbles.

Now scooping at all of our parlors! 🍌🍦🌙

Set in Armadillo, Texas, The Big Bad Business of Murder follows a lawman with delusions of grandeur and a hapless loner attempting to manufacture the most prolific serial killer in history. Written by Jonathan Anders and Jørgen Pedersen, with music by sad alex, this dark comedy takes aim at America’s obsession with true crime, celebrity and the ruthless pursuit of being “the best” at any cost.

🎭 The Big Bad Business of Murder runs August 20–23 at the Robert G. Reim Theater in Kirkwood Park.
