Over the past few years, I’ve had to completely redefine what success means. But Covid, layoffs, and a forced slowdown made me ask harder questions: What do I actually want? What am I sacrificing? And who am I trying to prove myself to?
I realized I wasn’t chasing a job—I was chasing validation. I wanted executives to see me the way I saw myself. But their approval was never going to give me what I already had: worth, talent, and purpose.
When I finally let go of the illusion of corporate success, I discovered what truly matters to me: building something that serves my community, not just a bottom line.
That’s what Missing Ingredients has become. A small home bakery with a big heart. A place where people can choose anything from the table and know it’s safe. A place where joy, inclusion, and craft matter more than titles ever did.
This work fills me up in a way the corporate world never could. And as farmers market season approaches, I’m excited—truly excited—to see familiar faces, meet new ones, and keep building something meaningful, one gluten‑free treat at a time.

Now you have a new option!! Salon Turbo has kindly let us have a shelf where you can grab cookies, brookies and other of our favorite treats just like at the market. Also, you can order ahead and schedule a pick up at this location as well.
