COMING UP THIS SATURDAY IN SPUR

Got a great chili recipe? Here's your chance to win prizes up to $100! Bring your entry (one crock-pot size) to the Spur School Cafetorium (Williams Street side) this Saturday, Nov. 8 at 9:30 a.m..

ENTRY FEES have been waived, thanks to the underwriting by local industry leader Galaxy Digital. Judging takes place from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and lunch serving begins at 11:30 (continuing through 2 p.m.).

CRAFT AND FOOD VENDORS will also be on-site throughout the event.

And the Dickens County Historical Commission is sponsoring its annual fall History Ramble, with a program from 10 to 11 a.m. on our America250 project, followed by a group trip to the Dickens County Museum, the H.A.C. Brummett Law Office, and the Dickens Spring after lunch. $20 covers your lunch (with all the fixin's) and the tour--open to the public and historiy buffs from all over.
