✨ Update from Dem Cookiez TN ✨
Hey Cookie Lovers! 🍪 (Long Post Ahead)
It’s been LONG overdue since you’ve heard from me, and I wanted to hop on today to give y’all a quick update — and let you know I’m still alive and well! 🤣❤️
Over the past several months, I’ve had an influx of messages and emails from so many of you checking in 🫶🏻 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for still thinking about me and my cookies — it truly means the world. I’m deeply sorry to those I haven’t responded to yet; I’ve been quietly navigating the future of my little business and figuring out where God is leading me next.
For those who may not know, I made the difficult decision to close my storefront last December. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary for that season. Many of you know that Dem Cookiez TN was born out of one of the hardest times in my life — after my son was born prematurely and I struggled with postpartum depression. Baking became my light in the darkness, and through it, I found healing and connection. You all became part of that journey, and for that, I am forever grateful. 💛
I had big dreams for Dem Cookiez, but I believe now that God has even bigger ones. Let me be clear — Dem Cookiez isn’t going anywhere. Things will just look a little different moving forward 💪🏼
This past year, I’ve focused on taking care of my mental health, being the best mom I can be, and truly redefining what I want this business to stand for. I had to refill my cup before I could pour into my dreams again. And now, I finally feel that spark returning 🥹✨
My mission is still the same — to bake the world a better place, one cookie at a time. Our recipes haven’t changed (and they’re only getting better 😉), and our heart for the community remains strong.
At this time, I don’t plan to reopen our storefront in Downtown McKenzie 💔 That chapter will forever be special to me — I think about it every day and cherish the amazing customers and friends I met there. But this next chapter will be about rebuilding from the ground up, with faith, patience, and purpose. 🙏
I’ll be taking the rest of 2025 to focus on family, faith, and planning the comeback carefully — without rushing. Even though the holidays are my favorite time to bake, this year I’m choosing to slow down and enjoy the moments that matter most 🎄
- So What's Next? 🤔
Starting in 2026, Dem Cookiez TN will be making a return through small local pop-ups, potentially farmers markets, and a few retail partnerships where you can grab our cookies again! ❤️ I’m also still working on launching a website for pre-orders and custom requests — stay tuned! 😋
We’ll be going back to our roots under Cottage Food Laws, just like when it all began. I’m ironing out all the logistics, but one thing’s for sure: we’re coming back — stronger, sweeter, and better than ever. 🍪💪
Thank you all for never giving up on me, even during the times I almost gave up on myself. If you know a small business owner, please show them some love — it takes a lot of heart, faith, and sacrifice to chase a dream.
This post comes straight from my heart, and I hope it helps clear up any questions or rumors floating around. Please stay tuned for updates about our 2026 RELAUNCH and upcoming events (I already have one on the books 👀).
Thank you, McKenzie, for believing in this dream from day one. You haven’t seen the last of this girl — or her cookies — just yet 😉❤️
With so much love and gratitude,
– Lacey | Dem Cookiez TN 🍪
P.S. To all my loyal cookie lovers in McKenzie and beyond — thank you for sticking by me. Y’all are the heart and soul of this dream, and I can’t wait to serve you again SOON!!! 😊❤️🍪
