Howdy! HEADS UP - The Railyard will be closed tonight due to extreme heat 🥵 advisories! Stay safe out there and enjoy your air conditioning (if you can)! Come see us Friday nigh or Saturday for the Bacon & Blues Event!

We will be CLOSED TODAY - SEPTEMBER 3! 🥵

With the extreme heat warning in place for today and this evening, we’ve made the decision to close The Railyard tonight.

As much as we hate to miss a Thursday, we have to look out for our vendors and their teams working in these conditions. And honestly, we didn’t feel right asking our customers to come out and spend the evening in this kind of heat either. 💛

We’re praying for some cooler weather tomorrow because we’re ready for a BIG weekend!

🎶 FRIDAY we’ll be open from 4-9pm. And 6-9PM Jason Oldham will be live on the stage! We’ll also have an awesome event hosted by the local Laborers’ Union as we celebrate Labor Day weekend.

THANK YOU, FOODIES! Seriously! ❤️

Day 2 of 217 Foodies Fest was a SELL OUT for Oakview BBQ — and one of our biggest sales days yet! We are incredibly grateful for every single person who showed up, ordered BBQ, told a friend about us, followed our page, left a review, or came back for more.

We also want to share a little perspective on what a sell-out day looks like for a place like ours.

Oakview is a 20-foot micro smokehouse. There’s only so much food we can prep, cook, store and physically fit inside our little space. And smoked meats aren't something we can just hurry up and make more of — they take HOURS of low-and-slow cooking before they're ready to serve.

So when we sell out, it isn't because we didn't prepare. It's because we prepared as much as we possibly could... and YOU ALL ATE IT!

And honestly? That's a pretty dang great problem for a small BBQ business to have!

If you came out hoping for something specific and we were already sold out, we genuinely are sorry you missed it. Please come back and give us another shot — we'd love the chance to feed you next time!

The support, engagement and new faces we've seen this weekend have meant more to us than we can put into words. THANK YOU for supporting our little micro smokehouse and helping us grow.

And with fall weather right around the corner?! 🍂 These weekends at The Railyard - Springfield, IL are only going to get better.

We can't wait to see you all come back and PACK THE RAILYARD again. ❤️

We told you this thing was STACKED… and we were NOT kidding. Coming at you for 217 Foodies Fest — 32 OUNCES of Oakview smoked meats and comfort sides, all layered into one SILO OF BBQ GOODNESS. 🤤

From the TOP to the BOTTOM, we’re stacking:

A couple lucky customers got an early taste test tonight, and they assured us — IT’S WORTH IT. 🙌

And because we know BBQ sauce is personal, we’re NOT saucing The Smoke Stack for you. Pick your favorite to have on the side: Sweet, Spicy or Mustard BBQ.

One little Smoke Stack rule — this baby comes stacked just the way we designed it, so no substitutions.
