Hello to all Gem of India Fans/Friends/Family!
Since we opened Gem of India, we have had 100s of Birthday’s, Anniversaries, Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding Receptions, Christmas Parties, Diwali Festivals and much more! We enjoyed every single occasion held at Gem because we treated them like our own events. We would like to thank you all for the unconditional support and love you have given our family business. Our kids practically grew up at the restaurant and made amazing friends for a lifetime. Thank you for helping us establish Indian food in the early 2000s!
We have so many wonderful memories with each of you, for this reason, it is with a very heavy heart we are announcing that our property is for lease. Our plan to reopen as Masala Square has changed for a later time. It has proven to be quite challenging to find reliable and qualified staff that would maintain the level of quality and service you all have experienced and deserve to receive. We are unwilling to compromise the quality of our food nor service and jeopardize the loyalty you all so kindly have given us throughout the years.
As many of you already know, Chef Singh has a restaurant in Boston, MA. The family is in Boston, Navi recently finished her master’s degree in healthcare administration and will be getting married in Spring 2020! Jagi transferred to University of Massachusetts to pursue his bachelor’s in business administration.
It is time for Chef Singh and Gurmit to take it easy and work less hours! As many of you know Chef Singh and Gurmit never took a day off!
We miss you all so much and hope to meet soon with a new location in Springfield in the future! We know that we will be welcomed by all! If anyone is in Boston, please come see us at Masala Square Indian Kitchen. We would love to see you and get a little taste of home. We love all of you.
