Paddles Coffee & Cafe Here at Paddles, we like to say you come for the coffee and the kindness, and you leave with a little bit of small town home. Luckily, it's an easy explanation.

It's our hope that everyone who enters our shop feels welcome. Everyone always wants to know where we came up with the name Paddles. It's an acronym of the Kirkland family names: PADL = Pat, Analisa, Dana, and Layla. We've worked hard to make sure it remains a family affair, so you'll almost always see one of us behind the counter. Yes, even the youngest gets involved.

Alright, guys. It happens every year about this time. We will be losing a couple of our favorite rockstar baristas as they move on to bigger and better things. (No, I'm not crying, these are just my seasonal allergies acting up.) In all seriousness, we are super excited for these guys, and we're going to cheer for them as they pack up their portafilter and explore new opportunities.

Must-haves: availability for 24-32 hours of caffeine-fueled fun per week, and a willingness to hang out with us 7 days a week from 6 am to 5 pm (with an extra hour for cleaning and prep - we're not monsters, we promise). Your responsibilities will include: making friends with our regulars, taking orders, whipping up tasty treats, and keeping our shop s***k and span. Oh, and you'll need to be able to lift 15-25 pounds (roughly the weight of a large coffee mug... or a small dog).
Our ideal team member is a customer service rockstar with basic cash handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow a recipe (no culinary degree required, we promise). Part-time team members get flexibility in scheduling (because we know you have a life outside of Paddles... allegedly), and are compensated accordingly. Shifts are usually 6-7 hours, and we need you to be available at least 3 days a week.

The storm left us without power. We will be closed today while we wait for the lights to come back.
UDATE: Power is back. We managed to keep everything at temp thanks to the generator. Just waiting on word from DPH that we can open.

Summer is here, and so is the new seasonal menu!

Y'all, my oldest graduated high school last week and is spreading her wings and moving off to college in August. I won't lie, I've been deep in my feelings, and the Summer menu is a reflection of that. We're bringing out the comfort flavors that remind me of warm hugs and cozy summer nights, and we're super excited to introduce our new banana cold foam. (Y'all know I love Monin, but their banana syrup doesn't cut it for me. I'm so glad we've found a better alternative.)

So, here's to making the most of summer and creating memories with our kids before they grow up and start their own adventures. We can't wait to see you all and hear about your exciting summer escapades, from road trips to beach days and everything in between! ❤️
