⚾ Tomorrow at Motorheads, history steps up to the plate!
Join us Sunday from 2:00 to 3:30 PM as we welcome original All-American Girls Professional Baseball League players Jeneane Lesko and Gloria Rogers for a special meet and greet.
Hear their stories, celebrate the legacy of the league, and meet two remarkable women who truly were in a league of their own. Autographs and merchandise will also be available.
Admission is FREE.
Before the event, fuel up in the Motordome with our Super Sunday Breakfast Buffet from 8:30 AM until noon. It is loaded with breakfast favorites and is just $17.99 for all you can eat.
Breakfast, baseball history, and absolutely no reason to sit at home pretending yardwork is important.

Yesterday we all headed out to The Motorboat Club to cheer on Manager Mike in the Hot Wing Eating Contest at this weeks Rumble Around The Lake. He didn't win for speed, but definitely would've won for eating the most. Mike was the only one that ate his 5, then 6 more! He even took leftovers home. You're always a winner in our book, Mike ❤️

A Piece of Springfield Motorcycle History

In 1962, Stan and Pat Hall purchased Crawford’s Cycle Shop at Third and Adams in downtown Springfield. Stan was just 27 years old and had started there as a bicycle mechanic. In 1968, the business moved to North Dirksen Parkway and officially became Hall’s Harley-Davidson. Along the way, the shop sold everything from Schwinn bicycles and Husqvarna motorcycles to Ducatis and, naturally, plenty of Harleys.

In 2003, Hall’s moved its Harley-Davidson operation into the large, 43,000-square-foot dealership at 2301 North Dirksen Parkway. It became a familiar stop for generations of local riders, Springfield Mile fans and Route 66 travelers from around the world.

After 63 years under the Hall family, that chapter came to an end in December 2025 when the dealership was sold to the Simpson family and renamed Simpson’s Harley-Davidson. The dealership itself didn’t disappear, but the Hall’s name officially rode off into Springfield history.

Today, the actual Hall’s sign that once welcomed countless riders now hangs proudly at Route 66 Motorheads, preserving another great piece of Central Illinois and Route 66 history. Just imagine the motorcycles, road trips and stories that passed beneath that sign over more than six decades.
