We're doing a jacket donation again this year. I didn't do one last year bc of the divorce but this year we're ready. We take the jackets downtown and I'm teamed up this year with a very close friend of mine, I've known half my life, who owns and operates a safe house in houston for battered woman and children. So if you have a jacket for a kid any sz (preferably no infant sizes, the kids they have at the moment are over the age of 4) Or woman, we can take them. I cant disclose the name or address of the safe house for obvious reasons and she doesnt take cash donations. She funds the project through an organization that helps sponsor her and out of her own money. So they like the jackets cause these families have to leave their homes in haste and arent allowed to take anything when they leave. We can pick them up anywhere in Houston. It's about 3 of us taking everything out there but we can use 2 more guys and 2 more girls. We already have about 320 jackets so we need the help passing them out. We don't have an exact date of when we're going downtown but I think when we hit 500 jackets is when we're ready. *we only take jackets or pullover jackets. No clothes please. In the future I have a coworker that facilitates the Houston Rockets drive and we will take clothes then but for now only jackets.

*you can donate any sz. The shelter has the room to store them for future residents. We would love to get jackets for the 25 people they have now though. However any size jackets we will take.
