OKTOBERFEST is Saturday, September 26!

Come for a full day of live music, German-inspired food, freshly brewed Märzen, pours from 1781 Brewing Company and Wilderness Run Vineyards, and pony rides from WRV Equestrian Center.

Dress in your best lederhosen, dirndl, or Oktoberfest attire for our Best Dressed Contest. Don't hold back. Judging begins at 4:00 p.m.

The forecast is on our side. Join us on the farm stage this evening for Virginia By The Glass.

Historian Gabriel Neville will explore the life and legacy of Peter Muhlenberg, the 8th Virginia Regiment, and one of the Revolution’s most compelling Virginia leaders. Muhlenberg’s leadership, first as a Virginia cleric, then as a colonel and general in the Virginia Line, helped shape a more tolerant and pluralistic future.

Virginia By The Glass is a free speaker series open to the public and part of Spotsylvania County’s official VA250 commemorative programming.

The evening will begin with a Meet & Greet at 6:30 p.m., followed by Gabe’s presentation at 7:30 p.m. Come introduce yourself, ask questions, and stay afterward for more conversation.

Members of the Virginia SAR Color Guard will also be with us. Visit with them and learn more about the uniforms, equipment, and traditions they help preserve.

Fresh-pressed paninis from the Piedmont Panini Farm Deli will be available, along with b**r from 1781 Brewing Company, w**e from Wilderness Run Vineyards, and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and lawn chairs.

The brewery has 18 b**rs on tap, including these VA250-inspired brews:

We quietly snuck a few paninis out of the deli over the past month. The verdict: make more.

On Thursday, Piedmont Panini will be open from 4:00–8:00 p.m., to include during the Virginia By The Glass speaker session. Join us for savory meats, melted cheese, juicy peppers, and fresh greens pressed between crusty, golden bread. Add a cold glass of b**r or w**e, stay for a little history.

On this evening, Indigenous cultural preservationist Chris Custalow shares the stories and perspectives of Virginia’s first peoples.
