🥓 Entremeada Assada — Juicy, flavorful roasted pork belly that is crispy, savory, and absolutely irresistible!

🐷 Leitão à Negrais — Tender, slow-roasted suckling pig prepared in the traditional Portuguese style. A true favorite!

While we were soaking up the sun in Isla Mujeres, we stumbled onto Tropical Ice — a family-run shake and smoothie spot that completely stole our hearts (and our taste buds). There's something so special about small, family-owned businesses pouring their heart into what they do, and Tropical Ice is exactly that kind of place. If you're ever on the island, do yourself a favor and stop in! 🥤✨

Speaking of family-run and full of heart... we're back home and re-opening TOMORROW! 🎉

This Sunday is your LAST CHANCE to get your Otilia's fix before we head out for vacation!

That means:

Ten years ago, we fired up the grill, opened our doors, and hoped a few people would stop in for a meal.

A decade later... you've turned us into a family.

To every customer who has shared a meal with us, celebrated a birthday, brought friends, recommended us to neighbors, or simply kept coming back for "just one more plate"—thank you. Your loyalty, support, and friendship have made these 10 incredible years possible.

We've grilled thousands of chickens, opened countless bottles of wine, served mountains of fries, and created memories that mean more to us than you'll ever know.

Here's to the laughter, the conversations, the Portuguese traditions, and the amazing community that fills our dining room every week.

The grills are hot, the sardines are fresh, and Portugal's most beloved summer tradition has arrived at Otilia's Cafe!

🐟 Flame-Grilled Portuguese Sardines are on special this weekend as we celebrate Portugal Day and the rich heritage of Portuguese culture.

Did you know? Sardines have been a staple of Portuguese cuisine for centuries. Every June, towns and cities across Portugal fill with the aroma of sardines sizzling over charcoal as families gather to celebrate the popular festivities honoring Saint Anthony, Saint John, and Saint Peter. In Portugal, summer doesn't officially begin until someone burns a sardine on the grill!

😄 Legend says the Portuguese can solve almost any problem with olive oil, garlic, and a sardine. We haven't tested that theory, but we're willing to try.

🐟🔥 Sardine Season Has Officially Arrived at Otilia’s! 🔥🐟

This weekend’s dinner special is the one that smells like summer in Portugal…

🇵🇹 Flame Grilled Portuguese Sardines 🇵🇹

Before there were food influencers, there were Portuguese grandfathers standing over charcoal grills in flip flops, grilling sardines while arguing about soccer and politics. Sardines have been a Portuguese tradition for centuries — simple, smoky, salty, and best enjoyed with good bread, olive oil, and people talking way too loud.

Every summer, streets across Portugal fill with the smell of grilled sardines during the Festas de Santo António and São João. If you know, you know. If you don’t know… this weekend is your chance.

We flame grill them the old-school way over open fire until the skin gets crispy, the inside stays juicy, and your fingers smell like charcoal and olive oil for the next 3 hours. That’s how you know they’re good.

Served with traditional sides and plenty of Portuguese attitude. 🇵🇹🔥
