The Country Store in the Spokane Valley has great chicken food and scratch.
Love this Earth First Poultry food, all natural feed and a really good logo. (Honestly the logo goes a long way for me.) My laying hens have been producing amazing eggs on this food.
I add scratch mixed with dried soldier fly larve. Yum! šŸ“

These 3 chicks were purchased from the Country Store just before Easter. They were the beginning of a chick binge that caused me to buy more and more chicks. I heard this is called "Henopause" when a woman of a certain age starts bringing more and more chicks into the flock. Well whatever the reason, they are adorable.

A snapshot of some of our just harvested eggs. Lots of colors in our basket! One of the silkies has been laying eggs with calcium deposits (little bumps on the cream colored egg don't affect the egg inside). I suspect its from "Pina Colada," who had a stressful week while we were out of town last week a dog got in our yard and hurt her leg. She is recovering, but stress can cause this abnormality in eggs. This can also be caused by too much oyster shell supplements.

Birthday girl with her little chicken, Mango. February is usually frozen, but not this year. All the chickens were out to enjoy scratching in the dirt. TigerLily is enjoying the warm weather too on her 15th bday.
