In August 2009, owner Mark Eggen and his team opened the first Hop Jack’s in Bonney Lake, Washington. The mission was to “create a fresh, delicious and fun experience for guests while excelling in hospitality and supporting the needs of the community.”* Mark, a family man with many years in the restaurant business, wanted to work for himself and create a restaurant & atmosphere where his family an

d team members could make a good living and enjoy a comfortable life. The Hop Jack’s menu is casual and fun offering a variety of hand crafted appetizers, entrees and desserts. Hop Jack’s unique beverage menu boasts of classic & specialty cocktails including real fruit icy drinks, served in a glass made of ice and iced beer taps, (literally the tap extensions from the bar are encased in ice! Hop Jack’s is owned and operated by the Eggen family and a wonderfully fun, professional, and a bit crazy, operations team. Together, this dynamic, winning crew has hundreds of years of restaurant management experience.

🌟 June Team Member Feature: Henry Gray! 🌟

Meet Henry Gray, our rockstar server from Hops n Drops Lakeland Hills! Henry joined the team in February 2024, and he’s been bringing great vibes and awesome service ever since.

Henry grew up in Bonney Lake — the home of our very first Hops n Drops! When he’s not serving up smiles, you’ll find him outdoors hiking, lifting weights, or kicking back with friends. 💪🏽🌲

Fun fact: Henry used to be a self-defense instructor — so he’s not only quick with a tray, he’s got some serious skills! 🥋

His go-to order? A Western Burger paired with a refreshing Huckleberry Drop. 🍔🍹

What Henry loves most about his job? The amazing team he works with and the connections he makes with guests. He says there’s nothing better than seeing familiar faces come back and remembering him. 💚

Hops n Drops Story....

Hops n Drops, "A Neighborhood Gathering Place," was created as a safe, fun place for neighbors to meet neighbors and friends to gather with friends. On any given night the neighborhood block party is happening at Hops n Drops!

Our design and menu were built to reflect an atmosphere for folks to gather and enjoy an iced cold beer, 100% Angus beef burgers and to sip on our ever-popular, hand shaken, real fruit, icy drops.

Our backyard beers are poured from iced taps at 34'. Yes, literally the taps extend from the bar top, encased in ice. If you haven't seen this before, touch them! This phenomena is created by what is called a double glycol system, causing the taps to freeze. Only a handful of restaurants in the world have these.
