Fresh Soul’s job training program is a 16-week journey where youth learn valuable job and life skills all while earning a paycheck. The program is an extension of our neighborhood-based nonprofit Spokane Eastside Reunion Association (SERA).

SERA’s mission is to feed the soul of Spokane through our neighborhood ministry—bringing restoration and opportunities to the Eastside Community. Our other programs include a youth basketball camp and a youth opportunity center.

Fresh Soul received a generous donation today that will allow us to give away 100 free delicious soul food meals on Thanksgiving morning. The restaurant will open at 9am and we will hand out meals until 11am or until we have served up 100 meals! It is first come first served only. We know things are difficult for so many right now and we give thanks that we are able to give back to our community with the help of this donation.

Fresh Soul is a restaurant with a mission. As a social venture restaurant, profits from the sale of our delicious food are directed back into the community through our nonprofit Spokane Eastside Reunion Association (SERA).

SERA is a neighborhood-based nonprofit with the overall mission of feeding the soul of Spokane through our neighborhood ministry—bringing restoration and opportunities to the Eastside Community. Our programs include a youth basketball camp and a brick and mortar community space that we are developing into a youth opportunity center.

Fresh Soul serves as an expansion of our nonprofit by operating as a youth job training program that recruits and employs local youth to participate. It is our intention to equip young people with the skills and confidence needed to support their ongoing development as scholars, employees, and active community members.
