I’m calling you out. Last Sunday 8/9 my husband’s brother and wife lost their young son, our nephew. They notified us Monday morning. It was withheld from the media so that respectfully family could be informed.
Yesterday, the media reported the incident. Comments were made on the article about a young man losing his life. Jokes, cavalier BS insults?
Who are you? I heard the voice of his mother in that call Monday morning. His father’s pride and joy- who was barely past high school. Just starting his life. His parents are in the armed forces protecting our country. Can you imagine the amount of pain in losing a child. They can barely manage. Our family is devastated.
And while it can be pointless, sometimes calling out bad behaviour feels necessary. It sets boundaries and tells people: this isn’t okay.
The Conundrum :
Ignore, and it spreads. React, and it feeds the fire. Where’s the line?
Think before you hide behind the anonymity of your own platform. Trolling other people’s pain and lives.
This week a child will be painfully given to God and buried -so should your hatred and shameless behavior.

Cleaning up the Barn… Can I tell you something? Some of the best memories you’ll ever carry won’t announce themselves. They won’t come wrapped in fireworks or celebrations. They’ll look like unremarkable mornings , like happiness that faded as quickly as it arrived, like sitting in silence with someone who made you feel safe.
And one day, you’ll look back and realize those were the ones, the ordinary days that somehow became sacred.
Maybe that’s why I’m learning to pause more. To notice the way the light falls across the room. To hold people a little longer when I hug them. To pay attention, even on the days that don’t feel like much.
Because I don’t want to miss the magic hiding in the ordinary.

We know it’s seems like a small token of love, maybe a drop in the bucket…. to donate the proceeds from the sale of these. But these little drops can be part of a sea of support.. .

It’s truly the most desperate feeling to know that there is suffering, grieving, and loss within our community and wanting to help. I think it’s everyone’s question right now, what can I do? I think the answer is we serve ourselves we serve ourselves to the community and to those in need with whatever means we have to support one another. It will be a privilege to provide food for the Spokane Fire Dept throughout the week.. if there is a need that you believe that either I or my team are able to assist with please reach out. We are standing with all of those affected by these tragic events over the last few days. We have 200 food is love aprons that we will be selling at Cafe Coco. 100% of the proceeds will go to those affected by these devastating fires.. .

Proudly sharing Broadway Spokane .

It has been a heavy 24 hours for the Spokane community. Our hearts break for those who have lost their homes in this unimaginable tragedy, and we are sending love and strength to those currently evacuating and to those who remain actively displaced.
Through the heartache and devastation, it has been so powerful to witness friends, neighbors, businesses, and the Spokane community as a whole show up for one another. From text messages offering safe places to stay, volunteer staff running pop-up evacuation shelters, and local businesses offering their resources to those affected by the fires, we are reminded that compassion and neighborliness fuels our city.
Thank you to the firefighters who have put their lives on the line to protect Spokane through the night. And thank you to the first responders and emergency services who helped safely evacuate affected hospitals, direct evacuation traffic, and worked to es**rt vulnerable communities to safety. “Thank you” to those will never feel like enough.

Today we are faced with a red flag fire warning. Vinegar Flats, which includes many small businesses will likely close today. It’s always difficult as a small business to close. The safety of community and concern in our neighborhood however, will always remain our main focus. The city of Spokane has enacted the alert Spokane emergency warning system, which I encourage everyone to use. It’s always a risk in a small neighborhood that is near passing trains, that the movement of the train could spark a fire as well. To all small communities that may be at risk please use extra caution and be prepared to evacuate. If you’re in the Vinegar Flats neighborhood & need assistance.
