If you’ve been feeling helpless and wondering what you can do to make a difference, I want to share something that really opened my eyes today.
I went down to the Spokane Fairgrounds, which is now serving as the fire command center. The incredible firefighters working tirelessly to protect our communities are being so well cared for. They have semi-trucks from Safeway stocked with drinks, catered meals, sleeping quarters, laundry services, and so much community support. It was truly inspiring to see.
But while I was there, I met an amazing organization called Heart Spokane, and they shared where the need is still incredibly urgent.
Thousands of families have been displaced by these devastating wildfires, and many had to flee with only the clothes on their backs and their beloved pets. Communities like Colville, where nearly 1,000 homes have been destroyed, are in desperate need of pet supplies.
We’re going to help.

🐾 Blankets
🐾 Leashes, collars, bowls, toys
🐾 Any new pet supplies you can donate

Every bag of food, every box of litter, every toy, and every bed reminds someone that they are not facing this tragedy alone. Our pets are family, and in moments like these, they need our compassion too.
