Four years. ❤️

Today marks 4 years of Indigenous Eats, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful.

What started as an idea to share good food, culture, and connection has grown into more than we could have imagined. Through every busy lunch, late night, catering order, powwow, road trip, new location, mistake, lesson, and celebration—you’ve been there.

To our customers, our team, our family, our Native community, and everyone who has supported us, shared a post, brought a friend, told someone about us, or simply came in hungry: thank you.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but even more grateful for the people who made the journey possible.

Four years down, and we’re still just getting started. ❤️

Happy anniversary, Indigenous Eats family!

Native Trivia Night will not be held this week.

Out of respect for the families and communities affected by the ongoing fires, and due to the heavy smoke in our area, we have made the decision to cancel this week’s event.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, as well as the firefighters and first responders working to protect our communities.

From Spokane Public Schools: FREE DAY CAMP EXTENDED: The free emergency drop-in camp for children ages 4 and older at Shadle Park High School (4327 N. Ash St.) will be available every day this week, Aug. 3-7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is intended to give parents and caregivers impacted by wildfires a safe place for their children while they take a break, run errands, or address other immediate needs. Children do not need to be enrolled in Spokane Public Schools or live within SPS boundaries to attend.

Lunch will be provided at noon through the federal free summer meals program. Activities will be supervised by Spokane Public Schools staff. Families can also access a clothing closet and connect with resources like HEART and CHAS Health.

We will continue to provide updates with resources for families and staff as information is received. For additional information, visit spokaneschools.org/article/3055231

One of the most important things we can do during an emergency is help connect people with accurate information.

Please consider sharing this resource so it reaches those who need it. Thinking of everyone affected and hoping for safety for our communities and first responders.

Thank you to the NAACP Spokane Branch for helping connect our community with trusted information.
