Yesterday’s Childhood Cancer Coalition donation went to a teen. She said she hates hospital food with a passion and was so excited to get Zips!

Thank you to our Team at Zip's Drive-In - 11222 E. Sprague Ave. for preparing this meal! And thank you to our customers and supporters for helping to make these donations happen!

And we can’t forget about John! The Gaurd who gives us special access to the hospital! Thanks John!

Today we are trying something new and our 11222 E Sprague location! The first is the worst angry employee day! I was a little worried about how this would go but let me tell you! Our customers are having a blast! Our employees are having a blast! I’m having a blast! I see a few younger people using the “Safe word” but the older crowd! They say “LET ME HAVE IT”! It’s so funny when you see a little old gal say “Give it to me”! AND they dish it out right back!

We have to do this at all of our locations!

I was a little nervous about Angry employee day, but let me tell you! Customers are loving it! Especially older people! We give everyone the option to use a “safe word” and we will give our regular amazing customers service however 99 percent of people like it rough!

❤️ LET’S CHANGE THE NARRATIVE ❤️

We want to try something different.

It seems like when someone makes a mistake, we’re quick to tell people about it. Bad service? We post it. Something goes wrong? We share it. Someone disappoints us? Social media hears about it.

But when someone does something RIGHT… sometimes we stay silent.

The Austin/West & Zips Family wants to change that.

There are hardworking people all over our community who show up every day, work long hours, take care of customers, help their coworkers, make people smile, and go above and beyond — often without ever hearing how much it was appreciated.

We want to start recognizing those people.

If one of our Zips employees gives you amazing service, makes your day a little better, treats your family well, or simply does something that deserves recognition — PLEASE TELL US.

Tell a manager. Send us a message. Leave a positive review. Post about it. Name that employee so we can recognize them!

And you know what?

It doesn’t even have to be a Zips employee.

Maybe it was your server at a local restaurant.

The cashier who made your child smile.

The mechanic who went the extra mile.

The nurse who showed compassion.

Teachers who go above and beyond every day to make sure your Rowdy little tike learns and is getting prepared for the future.

The delivery driver who did something thoughtful.

The employee who was having a rough day themselves but still treated you like you were the most important customer they had.

We believe great service, kindness and hard work deserve just as much attention as mistakes do.
