FINAL WOOD-FIRED WEDENSDAY FOR 2026
Come on out and help support the volunteers this week on the final Wood-Fired Wednesday of 2026. The Online preorder window will open at noon Sunday Aug 23 and Close at 12 noon on Wednesday. If you don't preorder don't worry as walk ups are always welcome. This week's volunteers will include Cub Scout Pack 237 and Family Promise West Central Mn. Your orders and pizza enjoyment will not only support these two great organizations but also every other organization that has volunteered over the past 3 months. They all appreciated the support and the comradery and the sense of community. After all that is what Wood Fired Wednesday is all about, the larger community coming together to break bread or in this case pizza together, visit with your neighbors, make new friends and support organizations that exist to do good things in our community. So lets have a nice ending of the summer and hope to see many of you there. As a special note there is live music for your dining pleasure. Remember we are also serving up Margherita Pizzas with fresh tomatos and basil from the Faith Community Gardens. Limited batching so when they are gone they are gone.

Ony two more Wood Fired Wednesdays remain in the 2026 pizza season. This week enjoy pizzas served by the New London High School Trap Team and the Spicer Lions Club. They will be enjoying the nice weather as you enjoy the hot pizzas served on the grounds of Faith Lutheran Church right here in Spicer Minnesota. Be part of the community of diners and supporters and come on out. There will be some margherita pizzas served as well using produce from the Faith Community Garden but they will be FCFS and when they are gone, well you know. We will be serving hot and fresh pizzas from 4:30 til 7:00 pm. Let your neighbors know. Walk, bike, ride your horse or simply drive in.

Last week we were visited by the Peace Peddlers. As they say A good time was had by all. So motor on over.

Community is not just a word. It is very evident here at the Giving Oven as many members of the community come out on Wood Fired Wedensday to support various local non-profit organizations and youth groups by ordering and feasting on delicious wood fired pizza right here on the grounds of Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer Minnesota. The ordering window is now open until noon Wednesday. This weeks benefiting volunteer groups will be Cross Roads Church and the New London-Spicer Football Program. There will be plenty of pizza for everyone from 4:30 till 7:00 so come on out. Order in advance or walk up and order, Dine in or take out. Enjoy live music with the OWL band. Gonna be great no matter how you cut it. Invite your friends and neighbors. Feel free to share this message as well.

Great post from the LINK reminding us that Wood FIred Wednesday this week will benefit the LINK and the New London Youth Hockey. As important to remember is that purchasing pizza on any Wood Fired Wednenesay benefits all the non profit and youth groups that have helped each night of pizza on the grounds of Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. The ordering window is now open so get your preorders in by noon Wednesday. even if you do not preorder you can still walk up and order as many pizzas as you and your family desires. Every Wednesday evening at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer, wood fired pizza is prepared for the public- while supporting local non-profits and other charities right here at home!!!! Join us at their next event on August 5th- which will be hosted by youth hockey and THE LINK! Proceeds from each event are split among all of the non profits and charities that host the event at the end of the summer!

Another hot day at the Giving Oven is in the history books. Thanks to everyone came out to support the Eagle Lake Lutheran and the New London Spicer ToolCats Robotic Team. While the weather was a bit on the warm side the pizza was just right and good comments all around.

Better yet it sounds like next Wednesday August 5th will be a high of 73 so please come out and support The Link of New London and the New London Youth Hockey program. As always the pizzas are hot and delicious.

Please feel free to share this with your friends and neighbors. Better yet invite them out for a pizza.

The ordering window will open on Sunday at noon till noon on Wednesday. Please also note that during the month of August it will be woodfired Wednesday every Wednesday night. Many nights to get a pizza and support great beneficiaries in your community. Eat in or take out.

Wood Fired Pizza tonite. We will be lighting the wood in the oven at noon July 29th enroute to getting the temperature in the oven somewhere north of 550 degrees to quickly bake your pizza. Come on out and enjoy a meal of pizza with your friends and neighbors 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Tonites volunteer beneficiaries will be Eagle Lake Lutheran Church and the New London Robotics Team. Come out and support your neighbors.
