They helped me get everything opened up and all the chairs set out so I could actually LOOK OPEN! 😂🙌
Urban Air Adventure Park seriously has the BEST staff!! Y’all are always supporting me on your lunch breaks, even if I occasionally put you to WORK! 🤣🤣
Y’all are so much more than neighbors at this point… Y’ALL ARE FAMILY!! ❤️
And let me tell y’all, one of these boys was SCARED OF HEIGHTS, but that didn’t stop him! He jumped right up there and was ready to help me anyway! 🥹

🚨 OKAY COMMUNITY… I NEED YOUR ADVICE!!! 🚨🎃👻

First off, I hope everyone is SAFE and HUNGRY today!! 🍔❤️

We all spent this week preparing for the hurricane, and last night was CRAZY! We lost power at 11 PM after a power line fell and caught fire around 6:30. We FINALLY got electricity back at 9:40 this morning! 🙌

So I’m running a little behind, BUT DOUBLE D’S IS OPENING TODAY!! 🍔

Now here’s my dilemma… 🤦‍♀️😂

I postponed our TRUNK OR TREAT tonight because of the weather, and NOW LOOK OUTSIDE!!! It’s BEAUTIFUL! ☀️

Everything at the store is packed up and put away to keep it safe during the storm.

If you know me, you know I LOVE CHAOS! 🤣 I actually think I work better in it! BUT even for me, getting everything back out, set up, and ready for a successful event tonight might be pushing it!

And let’s not forget… IT’S MUDDY!!! 😩 My Camaro is NOT coming out in that mud! 😂💙

SOOOOO… HELP ME DECIDE!!!

I decided to just CLOSE today. It’s just too much rain, and I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to make that walk back here in this nasty weather! 😂☔️

When the weatherman says 100% CHANCE OF RAIN for all day , everybody stays home… my burger sales disappear… and then IT NEVER RAINS. 😭😂

At this point, I may or may not have taken matters into my own hands. 👮‍♀️🤣

My defense: I’ve got bills to pay and burgers to sell! 🍔😂

So rain or shine — COME EAT AT DOUBLE D’S! And if they’re calling for rain… just ignore them and come anyway. Apparently they don’t know either. 🤣🌧️☀️

Back in May, Bentley came to me and said, “Can you buy me a boat for the ponds?” 😂

Bass Pro Shops

I laughed and said, “Boy, I’m broke! Everything I make goes right back into my store.”

Two days later, this 11-year-old came back with a MATH PROBLEM. 🤣 He had figured up how much the boat and everything he wanted would cost, how much money he needed to make, AND how much extra he needed to pay me back for his lemonade supplies.

Well… TODAY HE DID IT!!! 🎉🚤🎣

Bentley bought his own 12-foot Jon Boat with a trolling motor, battery AND fish finder — all from selling lemonade and sweet tea!

THANK YOU to every single person who bought a cup from him. ❤️ Every cup counted!

Even on those 100+ degree days, he kept setting up that stand and never gave up.

I’ve never seen an 11-year-old set a goal like this and stick with it until he made it happen.

He wanted a boat… Mama said she was broke… so he went and bought his own. 🤣👏

SO PROUD OF YOU, BENTLEY! Now go catch Mama some fish! 🎣💙
