Hi everyone. Rob here. I started Word Up with one intent. Provide really good, different food at a decent price. Well, really it was two intents, the other was to get out of my Wifeys face for a few hours a day during the winter......but that's a story for another time. We are closing this weekend, doing a little staff restructure and organization, going over some quality control, then we'll be back at with a fresh fervor to just keep it simple and get back to our roots. A quick update from the Word Up crew. ✌️🥡

We’ll be closed until 4:00 PM today as we take a little extra time to regroup behind the scenes.

Running a small business means there are days when you have to adjust, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work through a few staffing challenges.

What we don’t want to go without saying is this…

This community has shown us an incredible amount of love and support since day one. Every order, every kind word, every recommendation to a friend, and every familiar face at the window has helped us build something we’re incredibly proud of.

Thank you for sticking with us.

We’re excited about what’s ahead, we’re working hard behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to keep serving up some real damn good food all summer long.

What we’re looking for:

💪 Able to lift at least 30 lbs
⚡ Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
😊 Positive attitude and team-first mindset
🙌 Reliable, motivated, and ready to hustle
🍜 Restaurant experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

What you’ll get:

Built for the plant lovers 🌱

Meet our new Housemade Vegetarian Ramen.

Because vegetarian options deserve more than being an afterthought.

We start with a broth built from a slow stew of scallions, mushrooms, Kombu seaweed, fennel, miso, and just a touch of chili flake. After hours of building flavor, it’s strained into a rich, savory broth that’s comforting, complex, and anything but boring.

Then we load it up with:
🍜 Ramen noodles
🥦 Broccoli
🥬 Bok choy
🍄 Sliced mushrooms
🥚 Soft boiled egg
🌊 Nori seaweed

Update 📣

Well… we changed our minds. ☀️🔥

We’ve been talking with locals, listening to feedback, and doing a whole lot of planning for the summer ahead.

The question kept coming up:

“Are you going to be open Thursdays?”

And after some thought, the answer is YES.

If we’re going to do summer, we’re going to do it right.

Starting today we’ll be serving up real damn good food 7 days a week.
