On Thursday, Sept 17 Bambini’s Pizzeria will be open 4 pm - 9 pm.
(Closing during lunch hours)
We have faced some health trials lately. We have learned that my husband (Kenny) has a heart condition that finally won him a medic bus “escort” to New Hanover on Tuesday afternoon during our lunch shift.
I am beyond thankful for our firefighters/emt that showed up promptly and gave this wife the comfort I needed to know he was in good hands. I am also thankful to the Southport cop who chatted with me and was compassionate to my situation. You guys are awesome!!!
I also can not say enough great things about the emotional support in our small community. I have gratitude beyond measure for so many who are praying and checking in on us, and the offers to help in the restaurant if I need it! Things big cities miss out on.
I have to also give a shout out to my mom and pops who many of you know and love. They have stepped in and made things bearable for me. 🤗 Many of you will be glad to know they also collected our precious “B” from the airport today. She is back from her international trip to India and I know many of you can’t wait to see her again! ❤️
And boy!!! my tiny but mighty crew while my hubby and B have been out of commission. Our crew has weathered the challenges right by my side and without question we have the best a restaurant business could ask for as they go the extra mile and do so selflessly!!! God has blessed us abundantly!
I write all of this in gratitude but I also want to make sure everyone understands why I may be temporarily adjusting our operating hours. Until we know more about the plan for my husband, our business hours may be adjusted on a daily basis. So for today (Thursday) we will be closed for lunch. Please don’t hesitate to just give us a call as I may not be able to keep always keep up with social media or the website.
Please understand I do not make these decisions lightly. And I thank the community for understanding.
As I write this, my husband is stable, and we are both thankful that his medical team is not dismissing his condition. His cardiology team has deemed necessary that his heart be closely monitored so proper care can be determined. Therefore he finally settled into his all inclusive room this afternoon at New Hanover 🙃. During his stay he has already had the privilege of meeting a Bambini’s customer who was his ER nurse through the night. She apparently votes us as her favorite pizza place 😁🍕Seemingly small things that remind us to keep smiling.
Please pray for our family if we come to mind. God is good and we are thankful for every prayer lifted on our behalf.
