We brought home a win from Durham! 🏆

Chef Matt Hannon was awarded the Dairy Alliance Dairy Does More Savory Dish at the 2026 NCRLA Chef Showdown!

We couldn’t be prouder of Matt, our kitchen crew, and everyone who helped represent Ashten’s at this year’s competition. Getting to share what we do in Southern Pines alongside some of the best chefs and restaurants from across North Carolina made for a pretty special night — bringing an award home made it even better.

A huge thank you to the NCRLA, The Dairy Alliance, everyone who came out to cheer us on, and our Ashten’s family who made the trip to Durham.

🚨 WE’RE CLOSED WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2!

Tomorrow, the Ashten’s crew is trading the restaurant for the competition floor as Chef and the team head to Durham for the 2026 NCRLA Chef Showdown Grand Finale.

We’ll be closed for the day so our team can be there to cheer Chef on, celebrate the incredible work that got us here, and represent Ashten’s and the Sandhills together.

Thank you for your understanding — and for all the support that helped get us to this moment.

On Monday, September 14th, we’re opening our doors for the 10th Annual Evening at Ashten’s benefiting Caring Hearts for Canines sponsored by Tito’s Vodka.

From 6–9pm, join us for heavy appetizers, a grazing table, desserts, a silent auction, raffle, and a few four-legged greeters who may or may not be running the place for the evening.
