With our general population growing older and living longer each day, healthy nutritional food is
one big contributing factor. We want this population to be able to eat healthy and enjoy a
delicious meal at an affordable price. With this passion in mind and in partnership with Self
Help for the Elderly, MoonChef was founded. A wholly owned subsidiary of Moonstar Buffet Restaurant, MoonChef is a mo
dern central
kitchen located in San Francisco. Under the management of Daisy Li and Chef Ng, MoonChef currently prepare over 1000 meals each weekday for Self Help for the Elderly. Our daily menu is carefully designed with the freshest local and seasonal products available. Our daily balanced meal consists of meat, vegetable, brown and white rice, fruit and milk. With the healthy concept in mind, we prepare the food with less oil and sodium. Each weekday, food trays are loaded into the food warmer and they are picked up by Self Help for the Elderly drivers. To ensure quality and temperature, each Self Help meal center will receive their delivery within 60 minutes after it leaves MoonChef. It is with this passion that Self Help and MoonChef are able to provide seniors with fresh, local and sustainable products that are tasty and healthy.
