Alternate Route bluegrass band has been playing at Black Sheep Coffee Cafe for more than 15 years, with two gaps: one for Covid and the other for change in ownership of the cafe. The band plays a balance of vocals and instrumentals and features a lineup of traditional bluegrass instruments: banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, Dobro, and bass. They are a member band of the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association and perform at association festivals, political fundraisers, and private events.

🎤 Lauren Grace

Lauren Grace is a 16 year old aspiring musician from West St. Paul. She has performed at many venues from cafes and restaurants, to a Christian Music Festival. The type of songs she plays are top 40, from the 50's to current, in a wide variety of genres. She also trains as both a classical and commercial musician.
