Wow!!! We were packed out yesterday. I'll be there from 10:30 until 3 pm today. Come hang out with us... gonna miss this little place.

A REALLY BIG THANK YOU to all who supported us and the other businesses in our beautiful town.

WE ARE CLOSING after this weekend 5/13/23
HELP US MAKE IT A REALLY GOOD 3 DAYS

If you'd like to buy the business or the equipment please reach out ASAP.

I'm going to miss this place. South Cedar Artisanal is a freaking awesome little restaurant. We have all 5-star reviews on Google, Facebook and Trip Advisor. I mean who has that? We maintained a score of 100 on our Health Department reviews. We have absolutely delicious menu items, cool atmosphere, great service and reasonable mid-range prices. I mean what more could one ask of a small town restaurant, right?

There have definitely been some big surprises. Some locals came to dine with us once or twice a week for over a year and some of them posted and reposted on social media to help promote. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!! On the other hand, some of my friends never came in more than 1 or 2 times in a year (some never)... heartbreaking. Towards the end, we were getting most of our business from the interstate and surrounding communities as well as some really nice corporate orders but our average day was much too low... disappointing.

BOTTOM LINE: I'm not bitter at all. No one twisted my arm to open this business. I still believe in this town but if new businesses like this are going to succeed the locals need to change their habits. It wouldn't have taken much more to keep me in business... maybe 15 more meals a day. That's just 0.005% of our population. We were cash flow breakeven for a long while... so close... not sustainable. SOOOO.... COME ON PEOPLE. If you want to have a vibrant town you have to be a part of it. You have to help make the change. Go downtown on the weekend. Park you car and walk around. Go into the businesses. SUPPORT!!! It's easy and it's fun! This is one of the most beautiful towns in the South and there are some absolutely amazing people living here. Let's bring it back to life. Together we can do it.

Okay that's it for my positive rant.
