Congratulations to Emilio Cabrera, Founder of E.C. Management Corporation, on his induction into the Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame — one of the College’s most distinguished honors recognizing alumni whose leadership, service, and achievements have made a lasting impact on our community.

From arriving in the United States alone at just 15 years old in search of freedom and opportunity, to serving with distinction as a City of Miami Police Lieutenant and SWAT Commander, to building E.C. Management Corporation alongside his wife Hilda into one of South Florida’s most respected McDonald’s organizations, Emilio’s journey is the embodiment of resilience, hard work, vision, and the American Dream. 🇺🇸

Throughout his life, Emilio has remained deeply committed to service — supporting youth initiatives, education, law enforcement, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and countless community programs that continue to positively impact South Florida.

This Memorial Day, ECM McDonald’s #5112 had the honor of welcoming NBC6 South Florida reporter Ari Odzer and news photographer Steve Paine as they shared the remarkable story of a group of veterans who have gathered at this restaurant for breakfast, friendship, and camaraderie for more than 20 years.

What began as a daily cup of coffee evolved into a lasting brotherhood built on shared experiences, loyalty, laughter, and remembrance. Their tradition is a powerful reminder that Memorial Day is not only about honoring those we lost, but also about cherishing the bonds formed through service to our nation.

At ECM McDonald’s, Memorial Day carries special meaning at one of our restaurants where a remarkable group of veterans has gathered for breakfast nearly every morning for more than 20 years — building friendships, sharing stories, and reminding us all of the importance of service, brotherhood, and community.

In their honor, and in remembrance of all those who never made it home, we have placed a Missing Man Table at the restaurant as a solemn tribute to our fallen, missing, and imprisoned service members. The table serves as a powerful symbol of remembrance and reflection for all who visit.

ECM McDonald’s was proud to be part of the JAMZ Live with Trick Daddy event — celebrating Miami culture, community, and great music while sharing refreshing samples with an incredible crowd. 🔥🥤🍓🍉

ECM team members Madelen Santana, Leonardo Aztarain, and Maria Gonzalez were onsite handing out samples of McDonald’s new Strawberry Watermelon Refresher — and the response was amazing, with guests lining up for seconds throughout the afternoon! 😄🙌

Representing the Cabrera/Bentancourt Organization, ECM Owner/Operators Bryan Bentancourt and Stefanie Cabrera-Bentancourt were also present, joining Trick Daddy for photos on the step-and-repeat and connecting with the community during an afternoon full of hometown energy and Miami pride. ✨

📚🍟 School Spirit Was in Full Swing at McTeacher’s Night!

What a fantastic evening at the Gertrude K. Edelman Sabal Palm Elementary School McTeacher’s Night at Store No. 791! 💛

Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members came together for a night filled with smiles, spirit, and support for a great cause. From the front counter to the Drive-Thru, the Sabal Palm team jumped right into the action—greeting guests, taking orders, and serving their community with enthusiasm and heart. 🙌
