I think everyone should have a cause. You know, something important to you, something where you give of yourself that benefits someone else. If you don't have one of those I encourage you to seek one out. Here's a lead for you.
Utah Firefighter Chili Cookoff, www.utahfirefighterchilicookoff.com is a competition between multiple fire departments where all the proceeds go to the U of U Burn Camp, an organization created for kids through adults who have a burn injury and are continuing through the healing process not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. The cookoff is tomorrow at The Shops at South Town mall parking lot. You should go.
The Unified Fire Authority team, in addition to raising money through the chili, has collected a fantastic inventory of cool stuff they are raffling off- Traeger smoker, Goal Zero equipment, Klymit gear, skydiving experience, tattoo sessions, food gift cards and much more.
