Pan's Pizza

Pan's Pizza Family owned and operated since 1998. Greek style panned pizza made from scratch. Anne Zolotas opened Pan's in 1998 right next to what used to be Island Video.

Her two children, Alexander & Justine, started helping out in the family business before they could see over the counter. Pan Zolotas (Alexander & Justine's father) was the original "pizza man," and he & Anne ran pizza joints together throughout VT for years before his passing in 2006. His final restaurant was Swanton House of Pizza. Anne's vision was to establish a convenient, casual, take-out jo

int serving exceptional pizza at affordable prices. For over 20 years, Anne's been doing exactly what she set out to do! Big changes happened in 2020 when Alexander and Sani Pasagic (Justine's partner & previous co-owner of Junior's downtown) bought Pan's Pizza from Anne. Anne continues to work 5 nights a week and acts as trusted advisor to Alex & Sani in all business matters.

Some nights are TOUGH. All small biz owners know how things can go sideways, quick. Take today👉 our internet was down (darn you, Comcast,) which made our printers go haywire (they're still not working actually,) and then around 430pm I realize the oven temp was plummeting. Come to find out our fuel provider hadn't come in over 3 weeks (we're scheduled for a fill up every 2 weeks,) and we were on EMPTY😳 add to that a catering order for 530pm on top of our regular rush. While waiting for our back up ovens to heat up (trusty Blodgetts, 37 years old and going strong! Blodgett Oven Company) which takes about 90 minutes if you're lucky, we used our electric slice oven, which only fits TWO PIES at a time😱 The wait time, which is usually 15-30 minutes, was 60-90 minutes😭

NOW, you may be thinking this a post to blow off steam, and ok, yea it is a little, haha, AND I want to say that its NIGHTS LIKE THIS that highlight the blessings, the gifts, the reasons to be grateful. For example: My husband, mother (ya'll know Anne, the legend) AND my big brother, all showed up to help when they heard the ovens were down. And you'd think customers would be angry about long wait times, or having to figure something else out for dinner, but EVERYONE who called in was so sweet and understanding. AND my amazing staff, who are all in HIGH SCHOOL, btw, were totally cool under the pressure, staying positive and adapting to the weirdo situation we found ourselves in.

Our fuel company came, we're topped up and ready to fight another day. And we'll figure out the printers tomorrow😁Sometimes things get rocky so we can really appreciate how nice the smooth times are. Sometimes challenges arise to give those around us a chance to step up and show their support. THANK YOU to my sweet staff, customers, family, and community. Hare Krishna!
