Good luck to our PGA General Manager at the Minnesota PGA championship
This Monday and Tuesday, Bernie willbe competing in the Minnesota PGA Section Championship at Minnesota National Golf Club.
The Section Championship is one of the most important events of the year for PGA Professionals. It brings together many of the best players from across the Minnesota PGA Section for two days of championship golf.
The tournament is also the first step toward competing on one of golf’s biggest stages. The top finishers can qualify for the PGA Professional Championship—often called the PNC—where 312 PGA Professionals from all 41 PGA Sections compete for the Walter Hagen Cup.
From there, the top 20 finishers earn a place on the Corebridge Financial Team and qualify to compete in the PGA Championship alongside the best players in the world.
That means every round at the Section Championship carries an opportunity to advance from the Section level to the national championship—and ultimately earn a spot in one of golf’s four major championships.
PGA Professionals spend most of our time teaching the game, managing golf facilities, running tournaments and helping others enjoy golf. This championship gives us the opportunity to step inside the ropes, test our own games under tournament pressure and compete alongside our fellow professionals.
For me, it’s an opportunity to represent Pheasant Country Golf Course, challenge myself as a player and PGA Professional, and pursue the dream of competing in the PGA Championship.
My opening-round tee time is Monday at 12:50 PM from Hole No. 1.
I’m excited, prepared and proud to represent Pheasant Country!
