I really know better than to ask this but here goes. We are very close to reopening. What do y’all prefer. Home cut French fries or bought crinkle fries. I really don’t want to do both so that’s not an option. If we do home cut they will be fresh cut and immediately put in the deep frier. No par cooking like in the past causing them to be soggy. Fresh cut and fried.

To all my baking freinds. I’m trying out a yeast roll recipe. I’ve tried it twice. They taste good but are heavy. I’m not getting a good rise on my dough. The last time I used new yeast in tepid distilled water with sugar. Got a good foam but the dough didn’t rise good. Had it in a covered bowl in a warm place for almost 2 hours. What are your tricks. Baking isn’t really my thing.

A few weeks ago Lenny’s daughter, SIL, and grandson were in town so we had a small gathering to test the pizza oven and show off the grandbaby.

We were cleaning the front porch and noticed someone stole our copper Harley that was part of a wind vein. This was part of a memorial to my son Kyler who was killed on his bike. Whoever took it please bring it back. No questions asked and no problems. Just lay it on one of the picnic tables on the front porch. Seriously think about it. It means much more to us than it will ever mean to you.

As we approach reopening in the next couple months I have been doing some brain storming. I was wondering if there would be any interest in Lenny’s having a small deli area featuring sliced smoked meat such as ham Turkey bologna and of course bbq and brisket. Smoked chicken salad. Party chacuterie plates Homemade potato salad pasta salad slaw. Also considering making sausage and smoking it. What cha think. Got any other ideas ?
