Join us for our next class, an introduction to one of the oldest fiber arts! You’ll learn to turn soft, fluffy Malabrigo roving into your very own homespun yarn using a drop spindle. This is a simple, portable tool you can take anywhere, and no experience is needed.

Saturday, September 12, 10am to noon. $40 includes all materials to take home, two hours of guidance, and a cafe drink of your choice! Spots are limited, so scan the QR code or visit the hummingbird website to register!

Attention tea lovers! A new Art Beat-inspired drink debuts tomorrow, Aug 15, 9am to 2pm. This is made with one of our new teas, a butterfly pea flower that brews into an amazing shade of blue! A little squeeze of lemon leads to a blue/purple color change, and it’s topped with a sweetened cold foam, dried dragon fruit powder, and a fried edible flower. We wanted a beautiful drink to celebrate Art Beat! Come check it out and ask us about the new loose leaf teas that came in this week!

We started a book club! Introducing the Hummingbird Readers Club, a monthly gathering for people who love reading and making things. We’ll meet the last Saturday of each month at Quad Coffee Lab to discuss the book over sips and nibbles.

First up: A Stash of One’s Own by Clara Parked, a collection of essays about why we collect yarn, what we cherish, and how we let go. If you’ve over looked at your stash and had a tangle of feels, this one’s for you!
