Happy Monday Divewalk Peeps!
Not be be redundant but I want to reiterate what we are doing each week, so you are in the know. We have decided to rotate items on our menu so everyone has a chance to get their favorites! (now if only I can think of a way to bring you DIY crepes!) I am thinking on it, however, heh heh heh…so stay tuned for that.
Last week was a trial run on bringing you a Cafe favorite; our Banh Mi sandwiches. We tried the pre-made sandwiches because that is what we did on our to-go orders at the cafe, but after assembling over 120 sandwiches last week, we realize that preparing you a DIY Banh Mi kit is probably no more difficult than assembling a hundred sandwiches, and it certainly would be more like restaurant quality (based on your sandwich making skills! haha). So…on a smaller trial-basis this week, we’ll make several dozen DIY Banh Mi Kits. And as always, we appreciate feedback on how you think this method worked. We will provide instructions on how to put it all together at home; slice and toast the bread, heat the meat, assemble and eat! Pretty simple :)
In addition to the limited supply of DIY Banh Mi kits, we are also bringing back our Beef and Chicken Pho. An all time Divewalk favorite!
For a sneak peek into the following week, of May 15th, drum roll please…..
we have decided to bring you a vegetarian Pho. We finally think we have this figured out. One of our biggest concerns was what vegetables do we put in the broth, and how do we prepare them so they are in good shape in the to-go bags. Everyone has such different tastes, so we decided we can leave that minor part to you. We will provide you the broth, which will be infused with all the good vegetables and spices of our meat Pho broths; onions, ginger, star anise, etc. and you will get our usual goodie bag of Basil, sprouts, Jalepeno and lime. Which in itself would be enough to complete a decent vegetable Pho! If you wish to add more vegetables at home, we suggest that you do this part when you are boiling the broth to go over the noodles, just add any extra vegetables or tofu you may like in the boiling broth, then pour over the noodles, and wha-la! Yummy Vegetarian Pho.
That’s all for now. If you want to try the Do It Yourself Banh-Mi Kit, order now while supplies last! We believe this will be preferable to the pre-made sandwiches, but we value your input!
