Set on a 1,000-acre tree nursery, The Market at Grelen is a hidden gem. From the moment you drive down the tree-lined entrance and start to glimpse the tree rows set on the contour of the land, you will feel as if you’ve been transported to Italy. As your eyes wander from the surrounding gardens to the expansive views of the nursery to the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, you will know that you’ve arrived at a magical destination full of charm, simplicity and casual elegance. The Grelen experience is a multifaceted one and boasts a casual cafe, garden shop, event venue (weddings!), free hiking trails and a pyo farm (berries, peaches and apples). The Market at Grelen shop/trails are open Wed-Sun from 10-4, and the cafe serves food from 11-3:30. Our shop features home decor & gardening necessities, houseplants, annuals/perrenials, trees, shrubbery, and so much more! Our cafe serves farm-to-table lunch in a jaw-dropping setting, Ice cream made on the property and featuring local ingredients, and of course Virginia’s finest selection of local beer, wine, and cider. Grelen Nursery is open M-F *by appointment only* and specializes in large retail/wholesale landscaping & hardscaping jobs.
