Mark your calendars for Tuesday the 11th! Join us at Big Grove Solon all day for Mac & Cheese for a Cause. Every dollar raised goes directly to the North Liberty Community Pantry to help feed and clothe our neighbors.

Just $1 allows the pantry to source 4 meals for local families. This August, nearly 3,000 Johnson County residents will rely on the pantry for food. They are on track to serve almost 6,000 people with over 1 million pounds of food this year—an impact that is only possible with community support.

Come grab a plate and make a real difference in our community!

Our new summer menu at Big Grove Solon is live for the next two months, featuring peak Iowa Sweet Corn, scratch-made entrées, and refreshing seasonal cocktails: the ultimate pairing for a night on the patio!

We’re putting local sweet corn front and center in everything from crispy hushpuppies and our team-favorite Summer BLT Salad to crab tagliatelle and seasonal pizza. If you're craving something heartier, try new scratch-made mains like our 12oz grilled ribeye or grilled pork secreto. Pair your plate with a sweet, summery mocktail or cocktail and soak up the warm weather while it lasts.

Meet the team! 🍻

Molly, our Event Manager, was born and raised right here in Des Moines. She was happily settled in her career when the opportunity to join Big Grove came along. As one of her absolute favorite spots in town, she couldn't pass it up—even if taking the leap was a little terrifying!

After spending seven years in the wedding industry, making a major career shift wasn't easy. But looking back a year later? It was clearly meant to be.

Since joining the Des Moines team, she’s not only helped host incredible moments for our community, but she’s also gained a whole new level of self-confidence along the way. When she’s not bringing events to life at the taproom, you can usually find her exploring local food and drink spots or spending quality time with the people she loves most.

We’re so glad she took that leap—it’s definitely good to have her at BGB! 📸✨
