A very special day is coming up…❤️ October 4th — 10-4 Good Buddy. ❤️

For those of you who know the story of Good Vibes Cafe, you know that this place started with me and my sister, Kari, and a dream.

October 4th is Kari’s Birthday.

This will be her second heavenly birthday, and I can’t believe how much time has passed since I was last able to hug her, talk to her, laugh with her, share all of our stupid movie lines and the million little things that only sisters understand.

I hope I make her proud every single day.

So many people used to tell us, “I could never work that closely with my sister!” But for us, it was perfect. We built this place together. We dreamed together. We laughed, learned, worked, celebrated and made memories together.

We miss Kari tremendously every single day. But, she is still here every single day too, just in a different way. She lives on in this shop, in the people we’ve met, in the memories we’ve made, in the recipes she left for us and in every little piece of Good Vibes that we created together.

Kari always said, “10-4 Good Buddy! That’s how you remember my Birthday.” 🥹❤️

This weekend, I’ll have some special little gift bags to hand out in remembrance of Kari. So please, stop in, have a coffee, say hi, tell us a favorite Kari story or share a memory if you have one.

Help us celebrate her the way she deserves to be celebrated — with love, laughter, and Good Vibes. ☕️❤️

Also…Shout out to all the Mom’s out there! EEEk, we kinda dropped the ball on our Mother’s Day post last weekend. But ya know what? As Mom’s, business owners and women juggling a million things, sometimes we don’t get to everything on our to-do list right on time…and we think that is ok.

The laundry and dishes may pile up. The thank-you cards go unsent. And Mother’s Day post may be a week late. But the love, sacrifice, and effort we all pour into our friends and family every single day is what really counts.

At Good Vibes, we see you busy ladies and we appreciate you exhausted, busy, maybe less than perfect but doing their best Moms. And in our opinion, those are the very best kind.
