There are moments in life when celebration and hardship somehow exist side by side.
This is Roger and me on our wedding day.
Thirteen years later, I look at this photo very differently than I once did.
As many of you know, for the past six months, our family has been navigating Roger’s cancer diagnosis and treatment.
At the same time, I’ve been quietly working on something new for Grange Garden—something I began long before we knew what this year would bring.
On October 17, those two parts of our lives will come together.
THE REVEAL is the unveiling of an entirely new concept by Grange Garden. It’s something I’ve poured so much of myself into, particularly during a chapter of our lives I never could have imagined.
When it came time to celebrate its opening, though, it didn’t feel right to separate this new beginning from what our family is living through.
So this evening will be about more than a launch.
It will be about celebration, community and purpose.
We’ll gather with friends, customers and people who have been part of the Grange Garden story to celebrate what comes next. And on that evening, we’ll also honor Roger.
A portion of ticket proceeds and 100% of silent-auction proceeds will support Roger’s cancer-care as he continues treatment.
I also know that ours is not the only family going through something difficult. There are so many people carrying things we may never see or know. There is absolutely no expectation to give. The messages, prayers, encouragement and kindness our family has already received have meant more to us than I can possibly express.

October 17 will be a celebration of a new beginning for Grange Garden—but for me, it will also be a celebration of the man standing beside me in this photograph.
