I don’t believe in multitasking. I don’t think you can do multiple things at one time and dedicate equal time and energy to each one. I often try to challenge my own theory and bend time by adding more and more to my plate when I simply don’t have enough hours in the day, energy, or money to do them.

Between being assigned a new position at work, raising my bonus children, managing a household, and now planning a wedding (Yep! Wayne and I got engaged!) — there just isn’t enough of me to go around... right now.

I’m not giving up on this dream but I need to set it aside for a few years so I can concentrate on my family and the career that pays my bills right now and keeps a roof over my head.

I truly appreciate all the love and support I’ve received. I hope you all continue to follow along on this journey and will be there supporting me when it’s time to get our first trailer on the road!

It’s so sad to see many of our local coffee shops being impacted by this virus. Many shops are struggling to hang on with reduced hours, limited sitting space inside (thanks to social distancing), and smaller menus. Cups and Robbers may not have hit the streets yet, but we’re still making a difference in our community by choosing to drink local and supporting our small(er) shops and roasters. Check out REV Coffee Roasters next time you’re in town. Lovely atmosphere, plenty of room to sit (surprisingly), and a tasty menu to order off of.

Today was a big day for Cups and Robbers!

YOU GUYS!
WE HAVE OUR FIRST COFFEE TRAILER!

Words cannot express how excited we are to finally have a trailer and to be able to start building it out. Many weeks of pricing, watching the used trailer market, bargaining, and waiting has finally paid off.

This bad boy comes in at twelve feet long by six feet wide so there is PLENTY of room for our baristas to whip up the most flavorful and delicious drinks in the community! We originally were planning to go smaller but when this opportunity presented itself, we couldn’t say no!

Had an impromptu meeting yesterday with two of my girls who hopefully will be staffing my first Cups and Robbers coffee trailer.

There are a lot of moving parts to this coffee thing! They both have been baristas with other businesses and have a lot of talent and knowledge to bring to the table. Looking forward to building the menu with them in the near future and selecting the equipment needed to outfit the trailer to give them the most functional and economic workspace possible.

A new year is here and the plans are still developing to hopefully roll out our first coffee trailer in 2020. Likely, it’ll be toward the end of the year. 🤞🏻

Coffee has been on my mind a lot lately... like usual. But not just how to build a brand around it, advertise it, and sell it. I was thinking about the actual coffee. What goes in the cup.

Where do you get your coffee from?
Do you grab a box of Keurig pods off the shelf?
Religiously stop at your favorite drive thru on the way to work?
Perhaps you have a monthly subscription like we do with Black Rifle Coffee Company .

Whose coffee do you recommend and why?
We would love to partner with a local company and sell their coffee out of our trailer but the coffee world is so big we need suggestions.

We are still here! The dream is still alive!

Life has been pretty crazy around here but we’re not giving up! Next on the list is building a business plan, talking to local baristas about what equipment they use and would want on a truck, and working on the menu. The process is pretty slow going right now, but the payoff is going to be worth it!

We have all done it. Endured disgusting coffee for the love of the drink and sometimes the overwhelming need for caffeine. When our food truck/trailer is up and running, we’ll make sure EVERY cup is juuust right! ☕️

We’ve been super busy lately, but the plans to open the coffee truck/trailer are no where near the back burner! Rome wasn’t built in a day... or so that’s what they say. 🙃 Thank you guys for your continued support both online and in person! It’s so nice to run across followers who has something positive to say about the future of Cups and Robbers! We’re so excited to make this dream a reality!

It’s been a busy few days at the job that pays the bills but when I’m working out or doing something mostly mindless, I’ve been listening to the Food Truckr podcast and you guys... I love it. So many good ideas, fabulous insight, the guests are so knowledgeable and fun, and the host is great! If you’re just starting out in the food truck industry or have been doing it from a while, I can assure you, this podcast has something for you to learn! Find it on iTunes. It’s worth the listen!

BBQ is on the menu!

Checked out West Cobb Food Truck Friday at Seven Springs Church. Two of the trucks were MIA and it seemed that everyone was rolling out an hour early, but treated us well and they hung in until the end. This was the first truck (trailer, really) I have seen with a “greeter/order taker/hostess” and I loved it!
•
Another great night of researching and seeing what kind of trucks are in the area.
