I got to have the SWEETEST afternoon with Mrs. Price’s 2nd grade class! We got to chat, read, and even have a “build your own” chocolate milk station with allll the stickers! 🥹🤎

We read “How to Be a Coffee Bean,” and somehow, the lesson I thought I was bringing to them ended up being exactly the reminder I needed too.

When you put a carrot, an egg, and a coffee bean in the same pot of boiling water, they all respond to the pressure differently. The carrot becomes soft. The egg becomes hard. But the coffee bean embraces the heat and allows transformation into something new.

I couldn’t help but think about the past year and a half. This business has grown and changed in so many ways, and so have I. There have been plenty of moments that have brought pressure, uncertainty, and growing pains. I’m thankful for the reminder that I get to choose how I respond to them and the opportunity for the pressure to create the version of this business that blows my mind everyday!

No matter how much changes, I hope I’m always given little reminders like this one. Reminders of what’s important, why I started, and where I came from.

And if I’m being honest, I think I needed this little lesson maybe even more than those sweet 2nd graders did! 🫶🏻⭐️📚

we also have to give a special shoutout to our local electrician/ plumber/ “handyman”, Jeff Scurlock, who spent the day getting us back up and running! From all the small inconveniences to the biggg problems (today,) Jeff is typically our first call! Honestly I can’t imagine how the past two years would have went without him + thankful I never have to know🤣

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again- it’s the people that make the place + I am so GRATEFUL for the people on my team 👏🏻
