Job Title: Food Truck (FOH POS & Kitchen Prep)
Location: Union Hall, Virginia
Job Type: Part-Time / Seasonal
Compensation: Starting at $15/hour + Equal Tip Share
Job Summary:
We are looking for an outgoing, organized, and heat-resilient team member to run our front-of-house operations and support our pizza chef inside a busy wood-fired pizza truck. This role requires moving seamlessly between customer service and active kitchen prep in an environment that can get very HOT during peak summer rushes. Must have GREAT customer service.
Core Responsibilities:
* Order Management: Efficiently operate the Clover POS system to take customer orders, process payments, and manage the order flow.
* Inventory Management/Prep: Monitor and restock the pizza assembly table ingredients (sauces, cheeses, meats, veggies) to keep the line moving.
* Dough Rotation: Manage the proofing schedule, ensuring dough is moved into rotation at the correct times and temperatures.
* Truck Upkeep: Keep the service window and prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience operating a POS system (Clover POS experience is a plus).
* Basic understanding of food prep, kitchen sanitation and dough handling.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and coordinate orders.
* Ability to work efficiently in a hot, fast-paced food truck environment.
* Reliable, punctual, creative and a strong team player.
