Just a sampling of some of the German cakes made by Oma Lisa! Oma loves to bake, and occasionally creates a new cake to surprise and treat our customers.

Bienenstich or Bee Sting has become extremely popular and is our best seller, followed by the traditional, authentic Black Forest Cake.

Come see us for authentic German cuisine and incredible German Cakes and pastries!

My wife and I drove to neighboring Stockdale, we kept hearing about a small diner with impressive food, namely the burgers.

We went and tried it, and the food is first rate! The burger was thick and juicy, but it had a texture I loved, unlike normal hamburger. I found that Ralph, the owner grinds his own burger using high quality beef, chuck and eye of round. This results in a very tasty burger, with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions on the side. Toasted bun and his own homemade hot mayo made for an incredible burger.

There are NO burgers ANYWHERE in this area that even come close!

Ralph, an Army veteran and his wife run the place, they had a college student helping.

Their food is top notch, and I loved the burger. They have a snow cone bar to help y’all beat the heat!

Give them a try and support a local small business owned and operated by a veteran and his wife!

Like the Phoenix coming back to life, Antiques & Crap & Uhaul is rising from the dust and reopening in Smiley Texas!

( Uhaul loved the name of my old Uhaul so we kept the name, “Antiques & Crap)

We’re excited to be providing Uhaul rentals and truck sales in this great lil city by Nixon Texas!

We will be stocking up our large building with Antiques and Collectibles, just like we did in our old store in Seguin Texas! We will open our Uhaul first and the Antiques will follow shortly there after!

The new address is 209 W Highway 87, in Smiley Texas.

We anticipate opening the Uhaul within a two to three week time frame! We will announce our opening dates here, and will post pictures in the near future.

We hope to see all our old customers there, and as before, if there are specific Antiques you are looking for, please send me a PM.

if you have old items / antiques, I prefer buying from local folks!

Location: NIXON TEXAS AMERICAN LEGION HALL

At Oma's Schnitzel Ranch we support our Police and our Veterans.

Opa is an Army Veteran, Military Policeman, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Also a member of the Nixon American Legion, and Oma is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

The Nixon American Legion actively supports our local community with low cost hall rental, community fests, community support programs and engaging with veterans and entertainment, like our BINGO !

We have a small but growing Bingo on the First Wednesday of the month for your enjoyment, refreshments and snacks.

Some of our Swabian dishes can only be found in our restaurant. No other German restaurant that we know of produces them.
