Happy to share that boyntons greenhouse has created a community event highlighting so many vendors at one location! Almost like a fall fair! Please check this event out and share with all of your friends! We are hoping to attend ourselves but that same day we’ll also be at the skowhegan firefighters convention at the fairgrounds with our fair booth open. Going to be a busy weekend for sure.
What are YOU doing Saturday, September 19th?
It's going to be a full on Skowhegan Community Day!
Breakfast at Alice's Restaurant would be a great way to start. Then head over to Boynton's Greenhouse Maker's Market right here at Boynton's Greenhouse of course, 144 Madison Ave. We're calling it a maker's market because we have well over 30 vendors selling tons of different items, from Jewelry to Wood Art to books to delicous food & candy and so much more - BUT it's more than that!
We will have tables from Skowhegan Community Food Cupboard, Somerset Humane Society, Somerset Woods Trustees& Somerset Pet Welfare Alliance. The food cupboard and Humane Soceity will collect donations of shelf stable foods & pet care items as well as cash donations. Get a free carnation with any donation. There will also be raffles for all 4 community programs and items for sale that will support them.
We will have arts & crafts for the kids as well as free balloons and our fun Flower Power Photo Spot.
Shop our extensive supply of house plants and come inside the flower shop to smell the roses. There will be some items on special, details later!
Then, You've just gotten started. Slide on over to Court Street and hit up The Skowhegan Farmers' Market for fresh produce, cheese, meat and lots of yummy things.
How about stopping at High-Powered Nutrition for a refreshing and energizing drink to get you through the afternoon?
Now it's time to head to 1890 Primitives Fall Open House! If you haven't checked out this quaint little house full of treasures, it's time! There are so many unique & fantastic items and The Spotted Dog food truck will be there too!
Phew! That's a lot, but maybe you should head down to Water Street now and have a cool drink Unwined- Skowhegan before checking out other businesses like Thrifty Chic!
If you're still hungry, you should stop in to Ken's Restaurant or Slice Bar or Al's Pizza Skowhegan, Maine.
Make it a whole day of adventure, fun, shopping and eating! As Samantha York says, "If you're bored in Maine, It's your own darn fault!" You can't go wrong in Skowhegan!
