Nine years ago this weekend, we opened Bread & Circus.

Our business plan was simple:

1. Make good food.
2. Hope people show up.
3. Figure out the rest later.

Miraculously, it worked.
(Well, we’re still tying to figure out the rest)

Nine years later, we’re still here. The neighborhood around us has grown, downtown has changed, and somehow our little sandwich shop has become woven into the lives of so many people.

We’ve watched first dates turn into engagements. We’ve seen young couples become families. We’ve watched kids grow from coloring at the table to ordering for themselves. We’ve celebrated milestones, reunions, promotions, weddings, and countless moments both big and small.

That’s the part we never could have planned for, and it’s easily the most rewarding.

Thank you for every visit, every recommendation to a friend, every patio beer, and every time you’ve chosen to spend your hard-earned dollars with a local business.

We’re proud to call this neighborhood home, grateful to have grown alongside it, and honored that you’ve made Bread & Circus a small part of your story over the last nine years.
