In 1950 a US Navy T-6 Texan airplane piloted by my dad’s brother-in-law landed on a grass runway in rural South Dakota and gave my 8-year-old dad quite the joyride.

You can imagine the memories that came back 75 years later when he got to see this same type of plane up close in Sioux Falls thanks to pilot and owner Ryan Good.

This is exactly that kind of aviation history and nostalgia we love to hear about at Flyboy Donuts. Share your stories with us!

Flyboy Donuts shirts are perfect for the aviation (and donut!) loving members of your family. Whether you fly an F-16 (like the Thunderbirds) or protect your family from Amazon delivery drivers (like Luna the goldendoodle) we have something that’ll fit.

Shirts are available in all shops and right now we also have a SALE rack at our Empire Place shop where they are only $9.99.

The USAF Thunderbirds are back in Sioux Falls! We loved meeting the crew during the last Sioux Falls Airshow and even sent them home with some Flyboy shirts.

🍩 Hope we can treat them to donuts again this visit!

We are very excited about this new event next weekend in Brookings! Definitely worth checking out!

Brookings, today’s the day! 🎈

Balloons Over Brookings is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Fishback Soccer Park for a weekend of balloons, color, community, and family fun.

Check out the schedule and start making your plans.

Just A Taste Tethers will offer tethered balloon rides during the evening sessions, weather permitting, for $20 per passenger, cash only.

We’re also excited to have the South Dakota Art Museum at the field with a balloon-themed kids' art project starting at 6:00 p.m. both evenings.

And come hungry — we’ll have a few Food Trucks, including: Little Prairie Coffee Company, La petite crêpe, Karma’s Korn, and The Patty Wagon joining us at the balloon field.

We’ll see you at the balloon field!
