What a night on the back nine! Thank you to every couple who came out Friday, September 18, for our Couples Glow Ball Tournament — nine holes under the stars, glowing carts, and plenty of laughs along the way. Fall nights were made for this. Join us Saturday, October 3, from 7 to 11 PM for Burning Down the Course — food, games, a DJ and plenty of fun, so bring your guests! The menu is loaded with fireside favorites, from a hot dog bar, loaded chili and firecracker chicken skewers to pretzel bites with b**r cheese, a s'mores bar and spiked hot c***r. Tickets are $35++ for members and $45 for members' guests. Reservations are required — sign up on the Whoosh app or call the Club at 712-277-3821.

Join us September 30th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for a perfectly carved cut served with your choice of baked or loaded potato and a house salad.

Fall flavors have arrived at the Club. In the 1908 Dining Room, Wednesday through Saturday, our Rainbow Trout is tempura-dusted and pan-fried, served with rice pilaf, Greek-style green beans, sage cream sauce and toasted almonds, plus your choice of soup or small salad, $26. At the Grill, Tuesday through Saturday, our Jalapeño Popper Mac & Cheese brings the heat with jalapeño smoked sausage and cavatappi noodles in a pepper jack mac & cheese sauce, topped with shredded cheddar, buttered panko, parsley and, of course, a popper, $18.

And save room for dessert — Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding, warm and rich with silky toffee sauce and a delicately sweetened dulce de leche espresso whipped cream; Pumpkin Cheesecake, velvety and scented with cinnamon and autumn spices over a delicate cookie crust; and Caramel Apple Crisp, caramelized apples with warm autumn spices under a buttery streusel, finished with house caramel sauce.

Five wines, five courses, and an evening worth lingering over. This week's features are worth the trip to the Club. In the 1908 Dining Room, white cheddar–stuffed turkey meatballs served over linguine with garlic toast and your choice of soup or salad, $22. And save room for dessert — Apple Crème Brûlée, a silky custard infused with caramelized apples under a crisp brûléed sugar crust; Lemon Poppy Seed Angel Food Cake, light and airy with bright lemon and delicate poppy seeds, finished with a blueberry compote; and Chocolate Cobbler, warm and gooey with a soft, cake-like topping.
